CustomerReviews

Great
Great machine, very sturdy and efficient. Used it to knead bread, and there is definitely a shaking problem on high speeds, but for the price it's a great buy.

Best I've had...
I got this mixer earlier in the year and thought it was going to be great! I had had a Sunbeam Heritage and it just didn't live up to my expectations! I got this one, in black and I love it! It's beyond great!! It leaves virtually nothing un-mixed and is VERY powerful! I make ALOT of mashed potato's and cakes in mine and it is holding up great! If I ever have to replace it, I will buy the same brand and kind!

Nice Addition To My Kitchen
When my West Bend 41135 12-Speed Stand Mixer with 2 Mixing Bowls, White (I had the black model) died on me, I decided to get something a little more substantial. I'm not exactly a chef, but I do occasionally cook a big meal, like at Thanksgiving or birthdays, and I do have periodic need for a good mixer. After reading reviews and comparing prices, I pretty much decided against the rather pricey KitchenAids; since this Hamilton Beach got a good rating on the Consumer Reports list, I read some of the feedback here on Amazon, and it was generally good. Well, I got it at a really good price, and for the most part, I am very happy with it.

As some others have mentioned, it doesn't quite get the contents of the bottom of the bowl mixed, but that's not a big deal to me. I have had it "walk" on me one time when I was mixing really thick cookie dough (I think I poured in too many chocolate chips at once), but other than that, it's been a smooth and powerful performer. My Jello desserts made with cream cheese and whipped evap milk are twice as thick and fluffy as with my last mixer! :)
